    Hi there,

    we are having an issue with our WordPress-backend.

    We move our site frome dev to prodaction (before, in dev all work corect) and we cannot access our Media anymore. I.e. we can not change the picture in Gutenberg’s Media-Blocks anymore. We can only set a picture from URL for example. we get : ‘To edit the main image, permission to upload media is required.’
    We can also still uploads pictures directly in the Media Library.

    We have already tried a few things: PHP update, server/databse restart, playing around with user/role permissions. New user accounts. Different browsers/machines.

    After deactivating all our plugins and reactivating them one by one we found that “Polylang” is seeming to cause the error.

    how do we solve this?

    If Polylang is causing an issue with your site and you’re still planning to use this plugin, it would be best to reach out to the plugin support team over at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/polylang/ for additional help on this.

    Additionally, the theme might not be compatible with Polylang, you can test switching to a default WordPress theme to confirm this. If that’s the case you should reach out to your theme support team for additional help on this.
