To ensure all my services are canceled
-
Hi, I believe I canceled all my services and still am able to log into WordPress. Is this because of my Premium Theme I purchased? I understand I canceled my domain name, G suite and website all together. A note mentioned a refund was in process. Did I follow the correct procedures in support of closing my account?
Thanks

Hi there,
Yes, you cannot completely delete your site until all upgrades are removed, and you do have the theme upgrade still active under your account. I can remove it, but since it is an upgrade that you own indefinitely, you can set your site to private instead, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason. Also, if you ever change your mind and want to reactivate your account, you have a $175 upgrade you can always use in the future/
If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/Otherwise let me know if you want me to remove the upgrade, and I’ll do it for you ASAP.
Thanks,

Hi darnelldibbles,
Thanks for helping me make the proper decision.
Yes, I already made the site private but I also want to cancel my $175 upgrade subscription.
BTW – Do you how long until my Gmail accounts that I also canceled will be removed/expired?
Also, after you cancel my upgrade subscription, will my account with WordPress.com be removed as well? I just want to clear everything out.
Thanks

Hi there,
I have removed the upgrade subscription from your account.
BTW – Do you how long until my Gmail accounts that I also canceled will be removed/expired?
I see that the G Suite subscription has been canceled and removed under your account as well, so you should be good to go there.
Thanks!

Since we don’t want other people to have your username in the future, we don’t delete usernames (they are kept so they cannot be recycled). For more information, please see this link below:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
Here’s a few suggestions for you if you’d like to scrub the account:
1) Empty and delete your sites:
First of all, be sure to empty your sites of all content. You can find out more about how to do this here:
Next, delete the site following the guide on this page:
Please be aware that this is irreversible!
2) If you are trying to unsubscribe from emails sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block Emails”:
https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/
3) You can also go here to remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This will only leave the username behind:
https://wordpress.com/me/account/
https://wordpress.com/me/profile4) To ensure the account is locked up tightly, visit this site, generate a password of 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it:
http://www.thebitmill.com/tools/password.html
5) While you cannot completely delete your Gravatar profile, you can remove all of your profile information easily through the “Edit My Profile” page here:
http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit/?noclose#about-you
You can also hide your Gravatar profile from external access. Visit your profile page (click your name in the top navigation of the website), then click the “Hide My Profile” link in the bottom, right-hand corner.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
