To Import Blog content – – – How Long is the process?

  I wanted to import content from another blog [thingy].wordpress.com.
  From that site I exported the .xml file, then at mcaennyl.com I imported the .xml file.
  How many hours/days/weeks… will it be before I see the [thingy] posts in mcaennyl?

  And what else will be imported in the .xml file – Keywords? Categories?

  And, will they be imported as a single block, all with today’s date?
  Or will they be dropped in among my mcaennyl posts in date order?

  Hope this member’s query gets an answer,as some others’ have been ignored (since 1993, one!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The original WordPress version was released in 2003.

  Well, thanks musicdoc, for your interest. It sorted itself out – all posts, categories and tags transferred over in the time it took to go drink a bourbon and coke. Nice.
