To link a domain I own

    I just renewed/purchased a domain that I owned and used before in wordpress.com.

    But it doesn’t link my wordpress account to this domain name, mirroringlives.com. Once I type mirroringlives.com, it directs me to the browsers address that has a wordpress on it.

    This is not what i want.

    That is expected behaviour. To set a custom domain as a primary address you need to upgrade your free site to a paid plan. Incidentally with an annual paid plan you could have registered your domain for free for the first year.
