To support staff: please delete site content
-
Hi, I’d like to start anew keeping the same URL – leandrocp.wordpress.com.
I’ve already successfully exported all its content to another WordPress blog (valvuladeesc.wordpress.com), so that’s pretty much a copy right now. Can you please confirm that resetting the one above (leandrocp, the source) will NOT make the posts/media/comments/etc now seen in the backup blog (valvuladeesc) disappear?
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi leandrocp,
I’ve tagged this for a Staff follow-up! They’ll be able to help you empty your blog shortly. Please be patient while waiting.

Hi there,
I checked your blog at valvuladeesc.wordpress.com and confirmed that as long as all the content you expect to see on that blog is there, deleting it from your blog at leandrocp.wordpress.com won’t affect it on the new blog.
If you’d like, I can go ahead and empty the blog leandrocp.wordpress.com. This is permanent and can’t be undone, so I just want to double-check before I do that for you. :) (If you’d prefer, you can use the DIY method to empty the blog yourself instead.)

Great, thanks Rachel.
I only asked because the export/import was so quick (the file was so small) that I thought all the pictures were just being redirected or something. If it won’t affect the valvuladeesc, please go ahead and empty leandrocp (maintaining the address for my new use).
Cheers,

Hi Leandro,
It’s a good thing to check! The export file doesn’t include the image files themselves — when you import it into a new blog, the importer goes and finds the images on the old blog and then imports them into the new one. One of the things I checked on your new blog was to see that the images were uploaded to your new blog’s media library like they were supposed to be (they were).
I went ahead and emptied leandrocp.wordpress.com for you, so you’re all set with that. Just let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)
