Is this the message you are seeing?
The website “https://wordpress.com” is requesting 10 MB of disk space to store “calypso” as a database on your disk. Currently, this website is allowed to use 5 MB of disk space.

I think @justjennifer is right. I’m not sure why some folks see that request, but you will need to store some data locally for our website to work well for you.

Seems strange to have started after years of WordPress. I guess it is okay to approve calypso.
