Tons of Odd Emails

Hello, all: PLEASE ADVISE and thank you in advance!
I’ve had my blog for awhile now. Some post are very dear to me as it discusses being a caregiver to my father and other important life issues. I have not went on my blog in awhile; however, I went on today as I kept getting for weeks a TONS of emails notifying me that ‘people’ from (email visible only to moderators and staff) is following me. Seriously though– most emails are nonsense like that example I just made up. As I just went on my blog, it says I have only 9 followers (with real domains, etc.). Is this a hack? Please advise as I can’t find a legit WordPress help email. Thank you so much!!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

those so called followers are spammers and are removed by Staff. There is no security issue at all. You could make a filtre in your e-mailclient to remove those mails.

Hi – Just stopping by to confirm what staartmees has mentioned, this is not a security threat to your site. Just pesky spammers.
