    My name is Sonia Carty and I purchased a plan with the email . The purchase was made just over an hour ago. I made a mistake in my purchase. WordPress is too hard for me to understand. How can I get a refund?

    Your best bet if possible, would be to log out then log in with that email address. Then you can have a private conversation with staff while you still have an upgraded plan.

    But, you could also type the email address here. Our forum software will automatically hide it from public view so only staff can see it. And we can use that to look for more information.

    You may have purchased something but it looks like it wasn’t purchased here at WordPress.com. The domain you mention is over there at Bluehost, You’ll need to reach out to them to find out their refund policy.

    PS: If you had created a site over here at WordPress.com instead you would have found it easy, with lots of help such as people have already offered you in this forum.

  • Oh, I see what’s going on. You have made your purchase with Bluehost, not with WordPress.com.

    To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
