Too frequent updates

Enough with the updates already! Updates necessary for security are fine, but updates seem to be getting more and more frequent and it’s a pain.
Lots of us are perfectly happy with our WordPress blog the way it is and we don’t need more complexity or somebody’s latest and unnecessary bright idea.
It may be a fine playground for geeks, but a LOT of us simply want a blogging platform that works simply and reliably. -
Software is never frozen in time and is constantly updated. As for your opinion I note that you have not posted a URL. Please do that now and know if you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. If you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install and you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
