too many ads and pop ups covering the page!!!

    I am seeing soooo many ads on my blogs. I have noticed this only today. In fact it is so bad that there are small pop ups on each and every page including the dashboard and this very page. Also, there are ads covering pictures too.
    It is so horrible that when I try and cancel out the ads another pop up page opens up.
    How does one write with so many pop ups covering the page??? Worst still, is how does one read a blog like that. And if you can write on your blog or read it then it defeats the purpose of having one doesnt it.

    I understand that wordpress needs a few ads to keep afloat however, this is a nuisance!!!!

    Is anyone else having this problem. I am facing this problem on both my blogs (neharambleson & theolivegreenwife).

    Hi nehamalhotra,

    This sounds to me like you might have some unwanted software installed on your computer. Some sort of malware.

    WordPress.com does not use any intrusive ads on the sites and certainly none in the Admin section.

    On free accounts there will sometimes be small ads placed at the bottom of articles, but they don’t pop up in front of anything.

    i would look at scanning your computer for malware and getting it cleaned off.
