Too many attachments when importing blog error

  I recently deleted a blog I had but I have the xml file. I want to import it over to a new name and such, but when I export the file it gives me an error that says Your upload file contained more attachments than we are equipped to process.

  What is the problem here and how can I fix this?

  You need to contact staff directly on that and see what they can do for you.

  Go to http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ , fill in your query and include the URL of the new site and then when done click the “no….” button and you can submit your query.

  Yeah this was one of the first things I had done, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I thought maybe asking here I could find a quicker answer. Thanks for the suggestion though.

  The thing is, if you have deleted the old site, all the images that were on that site are now gone, so they can’t be imported into the new site.

  All I can suggest is give staff time to get back to you.
