Too many failed login attempts

Lately, my admin page will tell me I have a failed login (even though I haven’t even tried logging in yet) and have 3 remaining login attempts. I go to login a day later, it’s 2 remaining, then 1, then I’m locked out of my site. Right now I’m locked out for 20+ hours. How do I unlock it without waiting, and how do I keep this from happening?

Hi there, Jetpack seems to be seeing everyone visiting your site as the same IP, probably a misconfigured reverse proxy on the server, but we have a way around that.
I made that change on our end, and it will take about 5 minutes to take effect.
Please let us know how it is after that!

It says I’m still locked out for another 16 hours. I tried accessing it on two different devices, same response.

Nope, now I get a different warning:
Jetpack has locked your site’s login page.
Your IP address ___.____.____ has been flagged for potential security violations. You can unlock your login by sending yourself a special link via email.
I put in my email address and got a link, and when I clicked on the link, my browser flagged it as untrustworthy.

Hi there,
That browser warning should have an option to proceed anyway, or something like that. You’re most likely getting that warning because the link we sent you uses a https link, but I see your site loads over http. If that matches what you’re seeing on your end, it should be safe to ignore the warning in this case.

Well, my site worked properly for a few hours, but just now, I logged in on my phone with no issue, so then I tried it on my laptop and got that I had failed logins and had one more attempt remaining. I logged in successfully, even posted an article, and then all of a sudden I was booted out to the Jetpack error page. I had it send me an email, clicked on the link, and the link takes me to my normal admin page with a note that I can’t login for 18 minutes. I tried to login anyway and got the following Jetpack error: “Oops, we couldn’t validate the recovery token.”

I should note: it’s telling me I have the same IP address on my phone and my laptop, which doesn’t make sense either.
