Too Many Posts On Front Page
-
On my front page, all I want is the sticky topic to show. Any other post I make I simply want it to put in the catagory widget, on the side, is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Make “about me and this blog” into a page instead of a post and then make that your static front page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ .
-
Or, you can set your blog to only show one post per page (settings > reading), but that means that each category page would only show one post as well.

One comment is that with you having so many “pages” and the fact that the theme you are using has weak top navigation design, your pages tabs end up looking like a block of text rather than navigation tabs and I think people very well might miss that those are actual pages with content.
Even though it would be redundant, you might want to use the pages widget in the sidebar to make things more clear.

Actually, I like the way the pages look up there. But please see if you can come up with another theme. I have been combing through them lately, just to see if anyone has come up with something better. Haven’t found anything yet.

Not really. Blog in general aren’t designed to have lots of pages so typically most themes go wonky when you have more navigation tabs than will fit on one row. Some themes completely blow up with multiple rows of tabs.
My suggestion would be to go to a theme without top navigation and then use the pages widget. For long lists of pages that is typically much easier for people to navigate than multiple rows of tabs at the top.

Makes sense, but I really like the Theme I’ve got. It feels warm and inviting, and easy to look at.

Thanks Shawn. It’s due for an overhaul but I haven’t found a theme I like. Perhaps I’ll build my own this time around.
