Too many posts on frontpage

How do I control how many of my posts are shown on my front page, can’t seem to find an answer anywhere. I do not have the reading tab on my settings, I am currently using the free platform of wordpress so coding isn’t a solution either

If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
Provided you are logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the site go to
Go to http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
*Replace NAME_OF_BLOG with the actual name of your site in that URL.

If you do not have the required access and someone else registered the site under their username account you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them act.
