too many redirects
-
For a friend of mine I was working on the settings of her slider and when I wanted to test it, it suddenly said ‘too many redirects’ and the website didn’t open anymore. Now I also don’t seem to be able to log into wp-admin anymore.
I have been searching the support forums and google but there are so many options that I do not know where to start. I would very much appreciate your advice. Many thanks in advance!

Are you trying to set up domain mapping?
If yes, then to which URL please?I’ll tag this thread with modlook for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hi, as @timethief mentioned knowing the URL you clicked where you saw the “Too many redirects” message would be really helpful here. I just checked your WordPress.com site and it loaded normally for me. If you can share the URL where you’re seeing the error that will help me narrow this down for you. Thanks!

I am having the same issue, however, the domain I want to use is caffeinatedcontent.agency that is hosted with my reneeck.com site and the login was reneeck.com/wp-admin.
I was working on the site Friday (with reneeck login) and then started getting too many redirects. I can’t get reneeck.com/wp-admin or caffeinatedcontent.agency/wp-login to work.
HELP! (and thank you)

@caffienecontent
I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, you have a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/ Your webhost’s support team is another good resource.
