Too Many Redirects Issue in my WordPress.com Blog

Hi, I have been using this site http://darmtag.wordpress.de for more than 10 years. WordPress.com apparently changed the URL to https://wordpress.com. The redirecting does not work. The landing page is completely inaccessible. I get these code: ‚DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_CN_INVALID‘ and ‚NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID‘ ‚The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.” How can fix that? My site is non-paid and hosted by

  • Hi @darmtag, I’ll see what I can find on this. Right now it looks as though there is still a 301 “moved permanently” redirect in place sending it to darmtag.wordpress.com, but there is no SSL associated with wordpress.de. Is that what you’re seeing as well?

  • Just as an update, I think we’ve found the issue. We’ll be working on a fix and will update you here when that’s ready. Cheers. :)

  • And, as another update, we now have darmtag.wordpress.de working without an error. However, it shows up as darmtag.wordpress.com in the end. Is that acceptable and the way you had it configured before, or do you want us to keep working with our developers to address this?
