too many redirects message – cannot log in to WP admin

  Hi – I have a reoccurring problem which has locked me out of my website admin since weds. I upgraded to a premium version of a plug in on Weds and since then have had problems doing anything on my website with any action resulting in ‘too many redirects’ message. The problem plug in has been disabled and deleted. WP-content plugins folder renamed (which has resulted in other plugs ins not working).
  I can’t log in to admin to do anything without the ‘too many redirects’ message.
  Help – I’m an amateur at this and totally lost and confused.
  Anyone got any advice?

  Everything you said here refers to the self-hosted version of WordPress, called WordPress.org. We don’t have any access to self-hosted sites, and they use a completely different version of the WordPress software than we have on WordPress.com, so we’re not able to help with this in this forum.

  For help with a self-hosted site, please post in the WordPress.org forums, here:

  But this sounds like it could also be an issue with your domain, in which case you’ll need to contact your hosting provider, 123-reg.co.uk

  That said, I see you also have a Premium Plan and domain mapping for that domain here on WordPress.com which recently renewed. If you have a self-hosted site, paying us for an upgrade is wasting your money. You have a domain connected to a WordPress.com site, but the domain is showing a site somewhere different, and your Premium Plan only has value if you’re using VideoPress on your self-hosted site.

  I can still refund your last renewal on the plan if you’re not actually using it. Let me know if you want me to do that.
