Too many redirects (wordpress.com / wordpress.de)

When I try to access my blog (http://wortschaft.wordpress.com), it keeps redirecting back and forth between wordpress.com to wordpress.de. After a while, all browsers will display an error message telling me that there were too many redirects (this happens in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.).
The blog was working fine two days ago, and I haven’t touched the settings since. This leads me to believe that something might be wrong with the wordpress server / domain redirection configuration?

There are quite a few reports about this problem both here in the English forums and in the German forums. This thread is tagged with modlook for staff to see and they have been notified.
