too much spam

  Is it normal to get lots of spam on your blog. I only started 2 weeks ago and I’m getting more spam than comments.
  I’m sure I would spot them as it is because they just look dodgy but it shows askimet is doing it’s job right.
  Just wondering if this happens on most blogs

  Yes, it’s normal. About 80% of all comments are spam.

  I’ve suddenly been inundated with porn spam. I’ve only had the odd one in the past till now

  Spam is spam, it comes and goes in waves. Some days you’ll have hundreds, sometimes only a few in a week. The next wave will probably be SEO advice.
