  I am building a website but I would like to be able to produce a questionaire that leads to compiling all data from the Q and A which turns into a pdf file that can be printed and sent automatically to the email of the writer.

  is that possible with a free wordpress site or do I need to purchase and upgrade which gives me access to more tools? which tool or software do I need to do what I am trying to do?

  Hi there,

  Nothing like this is built into the open source WordPress software, nor into sites hosted on WordPress.com.

  I think the simplest way to do this is likely to use a Google Form. Input on a Google form can be logged in a spreadsheet on Google Sheets, from where you can then export it in the format you want. You’ll need to check Google’s documentation directly to see if it can do everything you want, though.

  Otherwise you’ll likely need a plugin to do this. Using plugins on WordPress.com requires our business plan, but we don’t provide support for using the plugins themselves unless it’s a plugin made by our company, and we also cannot recommend specific plugins.

  For advice on the best plugins to use for something like this, please ask the WordPress.org community instead at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ – the people there are the ones who make the WordPress software and plugins for that software, so they should have some ideas of what would work for you.
