Tooltips – how to disable them?

  I’ve spent about 6 hours searching for a question or a solution for this…

  How can I disable tooltips?

  I cannot find the function controlling them. Where is it located among the WordPress files?

  Basically, I have pages and links to the pages, whereas by moving the mouse over each link pops-up a tooltip. I don’t want that! It must call upon a function from one of the WordPress files. Which?
