Top posts

Hi!
Is there a way to show a list of frequently read posts in the sidebar?
I tried the ‘top posts’ widget but it could only show top posts within 48hours(?) and not over the entire time of the blog.
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think its more sensible to show top posts within last 48 hours rather than over entire time of blog.
In my experience, most interesting posts ever, don’t change regularly, I can even suggest to use static links instead of using a widget to do this.
But I agree that it would be nice if the user could change the time period of the widget. -

All data displayed by widgets is cached. This is why there is a time delay. Reference link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/top-posts-widget/@irb
If you want to make your suggestion re: the timeframe directly to Staff please use this link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/@tabehodai
If you wish you can create a static page and manually add the Popular Post to it as I have done on my blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#writing-a-new-pageAlternatively you can use a text widget to manually create such a list and display it in your sidebar. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/
In either case you will have to do manual updating as the data will not autoupdate.
