Top Posts and Pages Widget only displaying three items

The Top Posts and Pages Widget has been only displaying three items for at least the last five or six hours. It is set to display 10 items, as it normally is, and it has done so for most of the past several years. I’ve tried changing the “Maximum number of posts to show” setting, but it will not display more than three.
I just deleted the widget and reinstalled it to see if this might have some effect. The result was unchanged.

The top posts & pages widget looks at the views your content has received over the past 48 hours, and looking at today and yesterday’s stats, the majority of your views have been media attachment pages, which you’ve excluded from the widget. If I tick the Media box in the widget settings, the widget starts showing more items.
Looking at the code it looks like this widget only looks at the ten most popular items in your stats, and then display them according to the filter you set in the widget settings. So if the top 10 items in your stats are a mix of posts, pages and media pages but you’re excluding media pages, only the posts and pages in the top 10 will show, rather than the top 10 posts and pages not counting media pages.
So it’s only showing 3 on your site, as that’s the number of items in your current top 10 allowed by the widget. As your post and page views overtake media file views the widget should start showing more items again.
