Top posts widget not working

    My WP Stats for today 22 Feb 2016 show record numbers of visitors – the most in ten years!!! Yet the Top posts widget – titled MOST VIEWED TODAY in sidebar – shows just ONE post, when ten always appear. Is the widget broken? I have deleted it and added it again with no change apparent. The Stats page indicates most views came from my home country, Australia, but not exclusively.
