Top Rated Widget Not Showing Properly In Some Themes
-
Hello,
I would like to report that the Top Rated Widget is not showing up properly in certain Widget Areas (mostly Footers) in certain themes which I reported in another one of my threads but I was asked to make a separate thread for it (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/follow-button-widget-follower-count-not-showing-properly-in-many-themes?replies=10#post-1536771), but I do not remember or have the list of the themes that I noticed/tested this in because I did not save the list of themes that I noticed this in back when I tested/noticed this right before the Twenty Fourteen theme came out; but I do know that the glitch happens in the Footer Widget Area on the new Twenty Fourteen theme as well, but you can test this glitch on more themes by just trying the Top Rated Widget in all the Widget Areas on various themes (especially Footers) to see which ones have this glitch (only some themes have this glitch).
Usually it only happens in Footer on certain themes, but I think that there were a few themes where it might have happened even in a Sidebar but I could be wrong.
Here is a screenshot of the glitch in the Footer Widget Area of Twenty Fourteen on my blog (I no longer have it in my Footer, but if you want me to add it back there so that you can see the glitch in action, just let me know):

Hi John – Thanks for the screenshot. I tried it out in Twenty Fourteen and it works for me:
https://cloudup.com/cjuoiYECO46I also tried it out on your blog, and it looked fine there, too. Possibly this has been fixed since you last tried it – can you please test it now?

Hello Eurello,
It still does not show properly in the Footer Area on the Twenty Fourteen theme for me, I just moved the Top Rated Widget there if you want to see it live/in action, also do not forget that this problem happens on a few other themes as well in the Footer Area and on a few of those themes I think that this happens in one or more Widget Areas besides the Footer Area but I can not remember which themes I have seen this happen on.
Also when I click the link for your screenshot it says: “Upload Failed” and I can not see the image.

I tried installing Google Chrome and I tried it and it worked properly in Google Chrome, and then I went back to Firefox (which I still had open) and magically it is showing properly after refreshing the page; strange. :D
So I guess they did fix it for Twenty Fourteen, but they might want to test this on some other themes because there are more themes with this problem.
Thank you Eurello,

Hi John – Thanks, I’m glad it’s working for you now. I’ll check out some other themes, but if you do notice a specific one again, please let us know!

You are welcome, and thank you Eurello. :)
Okay, I will try to remember to let you know if I find more themes with this problem in the future (but I will probably be using the Twenty Fourteen theme for a while, and so I probably will not be trying any new/old themes any time soon). ;)
