topbar is blocking my site title

  The site title and topbar are on the same line when it comes to mobile devices, with the topbar covering up my title. I can’t find a way to move either, or remove the topbar, even with some CSS I copied in from other people who had similar(?) problems. It doesn’t make sense that they would overlap by default, let alone not have a way to adjust it. What am I missing?
