TOS email not working

I got a warning to contact TOS and the email (email visible only to moderators and staff) is not working. I checked to make sure that my email was working by sending my email to my hotmail account. I tried other email accounts but they all report “error” message for the TOS email addy. Is there any other way to contact TOS?

is there even a TOS email. I think they want you to use the blog info drop down on the bar at the top of the page (when signed in) to report violations

I’ve never heard of that email allthecritters. If you broke a rule, they usually suspend your blog and you then have to contact staff to try to get it back. It could be a spam email. Email staff at [email protected] Explain to them in detail what’s wrong and also provide a link to your blog. Then they can tell if your blog has been reported.

The email addy is showing up in a bright red box in my control panel! Right across the top of it. I assume it was put there by wordpress. I haven’t gotten any emails from wordpress, this only shows up when I log in.

A bright red box in your dashboard? You need to email staff at [email protected] Explain to them in detail what’s wrong and also provide a link to your blog. There’s a glitch somewhere in your blog. A while back a few bloggers including myself had that read area in our dashboards show up and then it was fixed quickly. But I never saw an email address though.

I just tried to email wordpress at the [email protected] and it got bounced back. I wonder if their email server is down?

That’s weird. The email bouncing back problem is either on their end or your end. Post here the link to your blog so staff can see what the problem is. And keep on bumping this thread until Mark or staff can help you.

I just read another thread that wordpress had the same problem last week. It happened on the 29th of Oct. I don’t know about the email thing though. I’ll just go to bed and forget about it for tonight. I just hope the blog is still there in the morning. I would hate to see it go to the twilight zone after all my writing for a year.

Thanks, I looked at my control panel the morning and it (the red warning) is still there. I am still having trouble with sending email addys that end in wordpress.com They keep getting reported as “invalid” email addresses. I have no problems sending out other emails. Is your email server down?

The red has gone.
The emails are good – I know because I have heaps people send me :) I’ll ask Barry to check though.
