total confusion

I originally opened a blog LCWong art and ran it successfully for 2 years. I then joined another group indiescriptorium.com when I tried to become an administrator of this group it wouldn’t allow me and opened LC Wong art. I thought I had deleted LCWong art but still wouldn’t allow me to become an administrator.
I now have tried to open a new web site under my pen name elsiekingauthor I used my new gmail e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff). I signed up for a free plan but got directed to a Pay site and mistakenly thinking it was on hold for a year gave my Paypal details. I then got charged $60 for the year???
Now I can’t get into my account for elsiekingauthor.com as it refuses to acknowledge my (email visible only to moderators and staff) even though you sent me a email saying my domain is now active??? The only way I can get into my new site is through indiescriptorium.com
I am contemplating deleteing all my wordpress sites and getting a refund from Paypal and using another web site provider. I am worried that I won’t get my money refunded.
It’s been a nightmare which is why I’m sending this at 5am in the morning.
Please let me know if you can sort out this confusion and I apologise if I have confused you too.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  • Howdy!

Not to worry, we can help you get this sorted out.

    The short version:

You are simply logged into the wrong user account. You need to log into the account that owns elsiekingauthor.com (and is the account paid the $60). That account does NOT use the email (email visible only to moderators and staff).

    The long version:

I’m not seeing any upgrades associated with the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the upgrade. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes.

If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:

    Account recovery overview – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
    Lost password tool – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
    Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Finally, even if you do not have access to the correct account, if you have your payment information you can use our “Why was I charged?” tool. It was built for situations such as this:

    Why was I charged?
