Total n00b, please be kind! :)

OK, I have been given the job of updating the school website and I am in no way trained in the more advanced website administration. My brother set up the website and all was fine but now he is on a round the world trip for half a year and no one else can help!

I am not sure what the technical term for my query is so if it has been posted before I do apologise for posting this..

anyway, I would like to know, if I wanted to show all the class pages (one page per class) in the navigation bar, is there any way I could have it where the main side link is ‘classes’ and I click on it and all the classes drop down? I hope that is clear? I have seen this on other wordpress sites, it looks like a little plus minus sign? I know there is the parent page option but when I add pages to the parent page, they are still seen and I cannot ‘hide’ them?

If I am asking a really obvious question, again, I do apologise. Just need some help! :)

    Cheers!
