Totally confused
-
I just bought a godaddy domain and mapped my wordpress.com blog to it. Today when I tried to design a website that simply includes my blog, I lost it all and now I can’t seem to bring up my wordpress.com blog at wordpress.com or my mapped to domain. I get an error message. Please, somebody help. At this point I’m ready to say forget the domain/website thing just give me back my free blog. I have a good readership that I’m afraid I’m going to lose. Can I un-map and just go back to plain old wordpress.com?
Thank you for any advice. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Per your previous forum topics, it looks like you want to go self-hosted, notably because you want to monetize your blog.

https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/mapping-to-owned-godaddy-domain-?replies=10So what is it that you want to do? Move to a self-hosted blog? Or stay at WordPress.com?

Well, first off you’re brilliant to be confused about what I need (:
I really want to be self-hosted and monetize. But if I’m not smart enough (:
I just at least want to go back to what I had before at wordpress.com.
Can anyone walk me through this? The “happiness experts” at wordpress who can guide me through it seem to be on vacation. -
Provided you didn’t cancel your domain mapping upgrade with WordPress.com, and provided you are certain this is what you really want to do, just follow these steps one more time.
