Totally Desperate to Get My Domain Name Away From WordPress
-
Nearly two months ago, I started an account with WordPress. I foolishly registered my domain name before realizing that I would never, ever be able to use WordPress.
Please, don’t lecture me on how WordPress is superior, and how I must be stupid if I don’t want to use it. I understand a lot of people like it. Great. It’s just not for me.
I have cancelled my blogs, but not my account. Tomorrow, the 60 days will be up, but I can’t get into domain management on my dashboard. I just want to transfer my domain, which I bought. But since I have no access to it, what can I do?
This is for a non-profit business. Please, can anyone help? -

A reply like “wtf” is not a reply, it is spam. If someone else has already answered the thread, or if you don’t know the answer, don’t just post stuff to be posting stuff.

I received some really great help, really fast from Mtdwvirus. He got me started. It was just what I needed.
I appreciate the people who replied about the WTF comment.
It’s exactly that kind of comment, by antneecb, that I have encountered on other forums where I have sought help on blogging.
So I really appreciate the other people who have the good taste and manners to point out what is inappropriate forum behavior.
Now onto the transfer. -
Thanks. Good luck with the transfer. Out of curiosity, which platform are you switching to? I teach blogging for beginners, and usually find WP to be the easiest to teach, other than Tumblr, which doesn’t have enough features.

I’m having the same problem. Can someone help me fix this. It would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

After the domain has been unlocked. How would I go about switching to wordpress.org so that I can apply different themes to my website?
