Toujours – images from new posts in slider

I really like Toujours but there are two things keeping me from using it on my blog (where I currently use Forever) The first being that the images in the slider are determined by which ones are in my latest posts, and the second being that there is only one footer area. I love the wide layout but as of now, that is the only reason why I’d want to change into Toujours, and at least the issue with the slider is more important since my images aren’t always laarge enough or of the sort I want to be at the head of the blog. So I guess my question is whether I have missed out on some feature that would allow me to choose a number of images for the loop in stead of new posts being the thing to choose? And if not, is that something you would consider adding to the theme? The issue with the number of footer areas would make it easier to group the items down there properly…as it is now it seems the widgets are ordered by size and that means some widgets who naturally belong together are pushed apart if the place available dictates it. The issue with the slider is, however, more important. :)
