track-back comments
-
Hi I write for a few sites, but I generally put a copy or a link to the article on my own site http://www.nosleepgamer.com (which is a wordpress.com site). When I put a link to the site I have put the full article on, the link works fine, but on the original site it also appears in the comments section.
I know this happens when I’m writing on my site and I link to another part of it, but is there a way to prevent it happening when linking to this other site?
My site linking out: http://nosleepgamer.com/2010/02/06/modnation-racers-hands-on-preview/
Site it links to: http://www.dealspwn.com/modnation-racers-handson-preview/
(see first comment)It doesn’t look great but I can’t delete the comment as it’s not my site. I’ll be linking to these articles quite often so I’d like to prevent it happening if possible.
Thanks for reading,
Brendan

There is a Discussion Module on your edit post page where you can un-check “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.”
Also, how to eliminate self pings:
