TRACKBACK?

    I think I understand what a TRACKBACK is. ie when I link another blog or site to my blog one finds[?] their TRACKBACK button to let them know you have done this and are linking both blogs? yes?
    I read what it was this morning and got distracted with other things. I now can’t find the post that explains it all
    So if I go to a site and copy their website url to put in my blog how do I TRACKBACK to them?
    I only saw such a button on a site which was brilliant – I have not seen this link on any other sites so far.
    Help pls
    Want them to know that I have linked them to my blog with out writing them an email!
    or am i being lazy?
