Trackback doesn’t work

It must be a tough one, this has been going on for almost two weeks. :o I hope and pray once the problem is fixed all track backs that have been “on hold”, (for lack of a better term), will be sent. -

Dr. Mike I did send a track back to the test blog. And for some reason it worked. But as it stands all track backs from my blog since Dec 6 are stuck. I suppose I will send feedback. Prolly should of already.

I’m having the same problem. I created moralauthority.wordpress.com a couple of days ago, for the first two days trackbacks worked fine. Last two days they don’t work at all. The address just sits in the “Send trackbacks to” box after saving. Hours later still there. I’m tracking back to some of the same sites that worked before.
Tried to trackback to the test site without success from this post: http://moralauthority.wordpress.com/2006/12/20/another-female-teacher-accused-of-student-sex/

It was received. It took a while which we will look into but it was definitely sent.

All of the trackbacks that had been stuck just went through all at once — some since last night.

I have the same problem.
If somebody clicks on the link “trackback” at the bottom of a post, the page reloads and no form appears to insert a trackback.
Is this enhancement implemented under WordPress ? -
Mark, I assume you have sufficient information from me about the failure of trackbacks on my weblog, but please let me know if I can assist in any way.
Spqr, I don’t understand what you are asking. The trackback link is for you to copy-and-paste into the appropriate field in your weblog post screen. There is no purpose in clicking it.

But there is neither screen nor field to paste a trackback link in my weblog ; that was my question.

I changed my test blog to the same theme you have Andreas 9 and I had no difficulty at all locating the field in which to record trackbacks below the “Optional Excerpts”.Directly below the editor box on any write page you will find the browse box for uploading images.Directly below that you will see a blue bar “Optional Excerpts +”. And directly below that you will find another blue bar “Trackbacks +”. Just click the + (plus sign) and then enter the URL’s for the trackbacks separated by spaces. Then click “publish”.

I sent a track back to a blog that was offering “open track backs” and it still didn’t work. :(

My trackbacks aren’t working either. I am unable to track back to any site. I enter the trackback link in the place where it is supposed to go, but it never pings after I publish the post. I used to get a bulleted message which said “pinged such-and-such a site” but there are no such messages, just what I cut and pasted into the space for the trackback links.

Me too having problems with trackback, and I know for sure by other blogs that it´should work to send trackback. As example I have my post http://respons.wordpress.com/2006/12/29/bidrag-till-bloggenkat-2006/
It´s written 29/12 at 13:56 and I have tried 2 times to send trackback to
http://blogg.aftonbladet.se/1/perma/218519/
with the TB
http://blogg.aftonbladet.se/track.php?art=218519As up to now it´s 42 links who has trackbacked but NOT mine.
In that blog I know for sure it should work, but in other places I´ve trackbacked I don´t know, but it seams like it´s in WP it´s something wrong.
I can still see the TB url, as it wasn´t send, and I have never seen any text saying this has been pinged.

I’ve been having the same problem with trackbacks for the past few weeks. I sent out the test as: http://engtech.wordpress.com/2006/01/11/not-sending-trackbacks-test/
One thing I noticed: the same posts had embedded Technorati tags (using rel=”tag”) but it wasn’t scanned by Technorati (the categories used were picked up by Technorati though).
