  What’s a trackback? Is it different from pings and how do I get trackbacks?

  Hi, thanks for the link but sorry I don’t get it. I know that pings will inform places like Technorati that I have a new post, but what’s a trackback and what’s it for? Should I have one?

  Thanks, this is clearer. So we use the trackback function in our posts to do that, right?

  When you link to another blog in a post, the trackback will be sent automatically, if you have the ‘attempt to notify’ option checked in your settings. You’ll also receive them when someone links to you.
