trackbacks/pingbacks???

  Hey,
  I’ve been using wordpress for a while now (longer than january as it says on my profile, I’ve actually been active on wordpress since november), and I still don’t understand what trackbacks and pingbacks are! Could someone please explain them? I keep getting them as comments, and then I get confused!
  Sorry if this is a stupid question.

  Try the search box. I know there are a couple of threads out there that explain the differences pretty well.

  Incoming links are like referrers: they are sites that have posted links to you. We get Incoming Links from Google Blogsearch, so it’s a bit different from the list of Referrers, which we get god knows how from WordPress.com.
