Tracking comments on private blog

  Is there a way to track contributor comments on a private blog? Basically, I want an easy way to see how many comments each contributor has made. This is for a high school class, so I want to be able to quickly see which students are or are not posting comments. In the Users section, it gives “actions” for the adminsitrator, but nothing for the contributors. Ideas?

  If you know their email address, you can search and pull them up by that. Dashboard -> Comments -> And use the search function.

  That’s really the only way i can think of. I’m sure that there’s a plugin to add up how many comments get left by specific commenters but that would be for regular wordpress hosted elsewhere. That’s not something you can add in here at wp.com.
