Tracking hits coming from the researchblogging.org site

hi, I wondered if anyone out there could help me figure this out. I cross-post some of my posts to researchblogging.org — see http://researchblogging.org/blog/home/id/1826/order/mostpopular — and I have been puzzled for a while because often there are more hits listed by researchblogging.org than show up as referrals from researchblogging.org on my stats page. I just assumed that some of the hits were not being identified properly. Now I’ve noticed that the most popular post on researchblogging.org — “Friday Feature: Inflammatory Behavior” — is listed there as having received 134 views, but the stat counter only shows 117 hits, 158 including syndicated views. This doesn’t seem possible — I do have other readers who don’t come from researchblogging.org! Is there some reason why researchblogging.org referrals would sometimes be tracked by the wordpress.com hit counter and other times not? I appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks.
