Tracking Referrers

  Hello there WPgods,

  I’m hoping you might share your thoughts on tracking referrers. That is, methods of determining where my traffic is coming from.

  I do see a few referring links in my WP control panel, but the source of most of my traffic is still unknown.

  I’ve installed Statcounter too. If I understand correctly, WordPress.com doesn’t allow javascript, and so the referrer feature of Statcounter doesn’t work (otherwise I like Statcounter quite a bit).

  How might I improve the situation so I can see more referrers? Google Analytics? Something else?

  We do track referrers in your built-in stats: https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#referrers

  The only other option we have available at this time is Google Analytics: https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-analytics/
