  Hi! I’m trying to figure out how many people are viewing my site/posts. I installed a plugin to help; it says my latest post has 80 views. I’ve received two comments directly on the post by outside people, but when I go to the WordPress insights, it tells me that post hasn’t had any views yet. Why is there a discrepancy here, and how do I fix it? Also, how do I find my website traffic?

  Hi there,

  The stats you see under WordPress.com ->Stats are recorded by the Jetpack plugin, and that plugin has only been active and connected to this WordPress.com account for the past 4 hours. That means it has only been recording traffic for the past 4 hours.

  Any visits your site received prior to Jetpack being connected and the stats feature activated, will not be visible on the WordPress.com stats page, as Jetpack can only record traffic as long as it’s active and connected to WordPress.com.
