Tranfer domain name to another registrar

    Hi, I bought my domain ‘concefiol.com’ in wordpress.com a year ago and recently decided to move to it to another host. The thing is I didn’t know it’d be better to transfer the domain to the new registrar, and I removed the domain without realizing this would remove the registration as well. After that, thinking I could solve the mess, I created another domain with the same name (this one I dind’t update) but I can’t seem to be able to change the name servers nor get the EPP code, nor do anything to transfer the domain to another registrar.

    I just don’t want to lose my domain’s name, so I want to know if it’d be possible to reverse the cancelation or do anything at all so I can transfer the domain name to the new registrar.

    Hi concefiol

    To transfer this new domain to another host you need to wait for 60 days to unlock it. for more information on this here’s the guide for domain transfer process

    I forgot to say that the domain expires in 17 days (at least that’s what the new host shows)… so… Would I have to wait 60 days to unlock? What will happen when it expires?

    I read about it here. But the only thing I understand is I can’t do anything because the domain is locked until it expires, and I don’t want this to happen.

    Well, will I be able to transfer concefiol.com to a new registrar if you restore it to my account (will it be unlocked)? If the answer is yes, it would be great, and you are indeed a happiness engineer,

    That’s correct.

    The domain can’t be transferred anywhere unless it is actively registered somewhere to start with – in this case, that’s WordPress.com.

    I’ve contacted our domain partner to request that the domain be restored. Once that happens, I’ll add it back to your account and get you started with the transfer.

    Typically it takes us 2-3 days to hear back from them.
