Tranferring a domain

  I just purchased a domain through google. I was hoping to create a blog with the domain name but it seems I need to transfer it to wordpress. Does this cost money seeing as I just paid for 1 year hosting already?
  It seems I’ve done this backwards….

  Hi there,

  If you have any paid plan at wordpress.com you get one free domain credit in which you can transfer, map or purchase a new domain free for one year.

  Hi there,

  You don’t have a WordPress.com site, and haven’t bought anything from us (aside from the fact that we don’t even charge for hosting on WordPress.com, only for features), so I’m guessing your site is not with us but using the open source version of WordPress. You’ll want to connect the domain you bought from Google to your WordPress website at your hosting provider where you bought hosting, not transfer it to us.
