tranferring a domian away from wordpress

    Hi,

    I want to use a domain name originally registered through wordpress to create a new site unconnected to the original wordpress blog. I have requested the authorisation code to transfer the domain and have accepted the transfer by logging into the ‘My Domain’ section and clicking edit. However, the domain is still pointing to the original blog. What can I do or is it just a case of waiting for the transfer to complete?

    Hi Colette,

    I checked your account and I don’t see any custom domain name linked to your username colettewilson or your blog here. What domain are you trying to transfer?

    Hi, thanks for your response. I am working on behalf of another person so it is not my account I was referring to. I read a similar post where the person was advised to cancel the upgrade. I did this and it seems to have worked. Will there be any negative repercussions?
