Tranferring a premium theme

  Hi,

  If I were to purchase a premium theme here at wp.com, is it mine to download and keep? For example, if I wanted to transfer it to wp.org or something, is that possible? The premium themes are not made by wp.com so I’m curious.

  You can use it only on wordpress.com since they are modified to work with the restrictions here and to support the unique features at wordpress.com. You cannot take the theme and use it on a self-hosted wordpress installation. It would not work.

  You would have to purchase the .ORG version of the theme again from the theme designer.
