tranferring current domain or use the free one with WordPress

I a currently working on a new site which will not be live for a few months so want to know if it is worth keeping with current hosting inc domain or move it all to WordPress free site until it is ready. Saving money on hosting when it is not needed. I only want to use Astra theme. Is this available on WordPress free site?

It looks like that theme is designed for the WordPress.org software so it could only be used here if you upgraded to the WordPress.com Business plan.
