Transaction Error. Please Help!!

My transaction for a premium theme was not completed successfully, after completing the steps for payment through PayPal. I did this twice, and both times I was redirected back to the shopping cart page where I was given this following error:
“The transaction cannot complete successfully. Possible causes are: 1. Your card has failed a CVV2 check at least six times within a 30 day period; 2. The billing address you provided does not match the billing address of your card. Please double check your CVV2 code and billing address.”
However, my PayPal account shows that I sent payment twice successfully, and I even received my receipts for both payments in my inbox. Can anyone please help me?

I’ve added credits to your account so you should be able to purchase the theme. Once we get that taken care of, we can look into the double charge part.

Ok, I’ve managed to make the purchase through the credits. Thanks for that lizthefair!
Any idea on how to resolve the double charge? I’ve opened a dispute claim through PayPal, so it might be better to deny/refund the second payment through that.

Since you’ve already opened the dispute, that’s probably true. In the future, note that opening a dispute ties our hands and makes it impossible for us to process the refund following the usual process, so it will take a little longer for you to get your funds this way.

If it helps, it’s still possible to close the dispute. I have not escalated the dispute into a claim, only that I opened it and PayPal also encourages communication with the vendor as opposed to escalation of the dispute into a claim.
Do you suggest any other ways of resolving the double charge, or what are some of the processes in place that can resolve such an issue outside of a PayPal resolution?

hmmm, and it also seems that the theme doesn’t appear as a purchase on the “My Upgrades” page so I can’t activate it again if I were to use another theme. Any idea how this can be fixed?

I’ve activated Moka once again for the leadlessgraphics.wordpress.com site and it is present in your upgrades if you want to use another theme and come back to it.As for the chargebacks, I definitely advise canceling any disputes as soon as possible. This way, the funds will be free to refund what you are due.
Please let me know once the disputes are cancelled and I’ll make sure to get refunds processed, where applicable.

I have closed the dispute, but am uncertain if this is the best practice… Anyway I trust that the refund can be processed over the double charge now? @spencerwberry thanks for the assistance!
