transcation is not happening, wordpress deducted 74 RS four times

    Hi,
    I am trying to start the premium plan. transaction is getting declined and wordpress charged me 74 rs four times for the same. I confirmed with my bank, international transaction and status of my card is okay. Please help me with the same. and revert the amount wrongly deducted.

    I checked our payment logs for your account, and I can see several charge attempts. But those charges were all declined. I see you’re using a Discover card. Discover can only be used for purchases in US$ on WordPress.com, and your account is currently set to INR, so you won’t be able to use that card.

    If you don’t have another card you can use, we can always change your account currency to USD, but in that case I need to point out that our plans have a different price in USD than they have in INR. Let us know if you want us to do that.

    We haven’t deducted any funds from your card yet. If you see funds deducted on your end, it’s most likely a hold your credit card company placed on the funds for each attempted transaction, and that should be removed automatically once they’ve confirmed on their end that no charge actually went through.

    Please contact your bank/credit card company directly to check on that.

    Thank you so much for the reply. I don’t have any other mode to do the payment. Please let me know if google pay or any UPI link works.

    I much appreciate your reply, but the thing is I am not able to add any method either. When I am trying to add a new payment method, even that is not happening.

  • The checkout page will only display payment methods that are supported in your country. So if you don’t see any other payment methods, it means the other options aren’t supported where you are.

    Discover card is supported for payments in USD. Should we switch your account to that currency so you can check if that works?

    Otherwise another option you can try is to use a prepaid Visa or Mastercard, if you’re able to purchase one of those.
