  WordPress.com has an amazing tool to automatically import your content from Wix. If you have not yet set up a site on WordPress.com, then the quickest way to import your site is to go to

  https://wordpress.com/compare/wix/

  Once you enter the URL of your Wix site, we’ll set up a new WordPress site and take you directly to the import feature. Don’t worry about your web address. You can change it easily and add your existing domain name (or even a brand new one) when you’re ready to take your site live.

  If, however, you already have a WordPress.com site you want to continue using, but have content on a Wix site you want to append, instead of going through the process of importing to a new site, go to Tools → Import then choose the Wix option.

  NOTE: Some site settings will be overwritten when you import from Wix to an existing site. For example, your menus, front page setting, site title, etc. will be changed to match your Wix site.

  The Wix import process will import a lot of content (probably all of it in most cases) but there is still some functionality it doesn’t support quite yet. Especially since Wix tends to use the “keep them hostage” strategy of user retention and makes it very hard for people who use their services to move. So if there’s an important bit that isn’t incorporated in your new site, please reach out to us and let us know about it!
