Hi there, if the domain is cancelled, it must be restored before anything else is done with it. If you have cancelled the domain within 96 hours of registering it, then we have approximately five days to restore it, before it gets fully cancelled and eventually re-released for registration.
You can find out more about the domain cancellation process here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/cancel-refund-a-domain/If you wish to restore the domain, you would need to pay the registration fee for the domain alone, as a full refund has been issued to you for your cancelled purchase. You can find the cost of registration for a
.blogdomain here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/Please let us know if you would like to continue restoring the domain, and we can send you the payment form for the registration fee.
Additionally, please note that new domains are subject to a 60-day wait before they can be transferred – this is a rule which comes from ICANN (the authority for domains: https://icann.org/) and which applies to all providers. When a domain is very new, you can instead change its name servers in order to use it with another host:

Okay, got it. I think this is would work if I didn’t already jump on to another hosting service using the paired.blog domain. The customer service told me that I need to “contact Registrar:Automattic Inc. and ask them to update name server for the domain to “
Nameserver 1: ns8165.hostgator.com
Nameserver 2: ns8166.hostgator.com

Thanks. You had canceled the domain, so we can’t change its settings right now.
Would you like us to send an invoice so we can restore the domain here and update its settings, or would you like to wait for a few days so you can register it again with the other service?
